Quality of Life Committee

Meeting notes Octobert 11, 2005

In attendance: Jane Warren, Loretta Malvin, Marina Kotsifis, Mary Jill Freed, and

David Freed

1. It was agreed that The House of Kebobs on Michigan Ave. would be the next restaurant of the month. We selected November 4 as the date for the group gathering. This has since been changed to Sunday, November 6 at 1:00 PM. They are opening the restaurant up special for our group. This was due to Friday being their busiest night. It will be a Russian style buffet.

2. We selected Gone Wired on Michigan Ave. for our December restaurant. The group party will be Friday December 2. We discussed having a raffle of one item, possibly a centerpiece donated from Floral Impressions.

3. We had some discussion of future projects for the committee.

a. Welcome packages for new neighbors which could include important phone numbers among other things.

b. Trying to get professionally printed signs announcing meeting dates

c. Having a plant sale/swap in the spring.

d. Flowers from Neighborhood N Bloom. We have to check with Harold as the city may have lost the grant for this project.

e. Block party, very preliminary discussion.

4. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 1 at 7:00 PM at Gone Wired.
