I'm currently employed as a program analyst half time for Dr. Richard Lenski in the Microbology Department and half time for Dr. Charles Ofria in the Computer Science Department here at Michigan State University. My primary work with both these professors is in the continuing development of Avida, a software-based research platform consisting of populations of "digital organisms" which allows researchers to study basic evolutionary processes at a timescale and level of detail impossible with organic systems.
Other duties include maintaining PCs, Macs, Linux boxes, and other associated hardware. This includes a two hundred CPU cluster to make Avida runs on. I'm also the acting webmaster for the old Nowlin Chair web site and the home page for Dr. Lenski's Lab
